Well then

I'm working on a bunch of knitting and kicking Jean's seascape into high gear.  She approved the sketch I made, so I am getting ready to stretch the paper.  I'll be doing studies of palm trees and mangroves and suchlike and may be posting them here.

In knitting news, I'm almost half done with my Lace Scarf!!!  Market bags are coming along. Mom's sweater back is done!! Working on her stockings, finished her blue scarf (yay money!) slowly getting her belt done...wow, I'm spoiling my mother with knitty stuff I guess.  I mean, she IS paying for half of it so maybe she's giving me business, but woooooww....I am really scattered today.

I have more news to post when I get my head back.  Sister shirt to start, work on cables, work with other stuff...OH!! I found a new local store I can maybe sell my stuff when I get my inventory up!! I have GOT to work on those portfolio pieces again. Since I want this site to ATTRACT business and reassure people that I am actually doing work and doing it well maybe I should go be a sketchy, knitty ditz offline.  Yeah....

Ribbed-To-Fit Boot Socks

Edit: Thank you for your marvelous feedback! I am re-writing this pattern with that in mind, using Vintage worsted weight. The original socks are now full of holes in the heel. Very loved. Stay tuned, and I will add a link when that's finished! These socks came about from high-quality, inexpensive yarn local to Prince Edward Island, in Canada. This is just a quick draft, but an experienced knitter should be able to make sense of most of it...I hope. In point of fact, I'm not totally done with the first one yet. Here she is so far! Oops

So I declared on Reddit that I figured out how to do a 9 stitch braided cable without dropping stitches off the needle. And I did! So I sat down to keep doing the thing and eventually come up with a tutorial and post it here the same day, I even told readers how to navigate to this blog. Readers...I have failed you. I tried and tried to replicate what I did that worked and...it didn't. I am so sorry. I retract all bragging rights. I feel shame.
